The word “vinyasa” can be translated as “arranging something in a special way,” like yoga poses. Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. We use Ujjayi breathing technique, done by inhaling and exhaling in a rhythmic manner through the nose. It enlivens and expands the lungs, pulling fresh air and expelling stale air and stress. The goal is to do whatever it takes to stay focused and present. It helps to develop a more balanced body as well as mind.
Vinyasa yoga is about harmony, grace and fluidity.
In Vinyasa class we move together to support one another and create a connection. It reminds us that everything is connected and interdependent.
